KPI-Driven Expediting Services

Protecting critical delivery timelines from engineering through shipment.

Why Expediting Matters

Expediting helps clients maintain visibility over manufacturing progress, critical milestones, and delivery readiness before delays impact the project. HIT Global provides structured follow-up across suppliers, production, documentation, and release planning to support better schedule control and faster response to risk.

Our Expediting Approach

HIT Global manages expediting as an active control function across engineering, supplier coordination, manufacturing follow-up, documentation review, and shipment readiness.

Our approach is designed to identify schedule risks early, maintain accountability across vendors, and support timely delivery of project-critical equipment and materials.

Scope of Services

Engineering Status Verification
This phase focuses on confirming the timely release of drawings and technical documentation required for manufacturing. Our teams monitor approval cycles and identify potential bottlenecks before production begins, ensuring that suppliers receive the necessary documentation without delays.
Kick-Off Meeting Support
At the beginning of the manufacturing phase, HIT Global supports supplier kick-off meetings to confirm the vendor’s understanding of project scope and technical requirements. This step also ensures alignment on the critical path schedule, recovery strategies, and documentation and inspection requirements.
Manufacturing Progress Monitoring
Once manufacturing begins, we monitor production milestones and verify progress against the planned schedule. Our teams identify potential schedule deviations, assess manufacturing capacity and manpower allocation, and initiate corrective actions when required to maintain progress.
Pre-Inspection Coordination
Effective inspection planning is essential to avoid production interruptions. HIT Global coordinates inspection schedules, confirms hold points, and verifies that all activities align with the agreed Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) requirements.
Documentation Control
Documentation delays are a common cause of shipment postponements. Our expediting teams track submission of key documents such as ITPs, QCPs, and MDR packages, verifying completeness and preventing shipment delays caused by incomplete certification or documentation gaps.
Shipment Readiness
Before equipment is released for shipment, HIT Global verifies completion of final inspections and confirms closure of all punch list items. We also review packing and preservation procedures to ensure that equipment is prepared for transportation in compliance with project requirements.

Reporting & Deliverables

HIT Global provides clear and structured expediting reports that allow project teams to understand manufacturing status and schedule risks quickly.

Typical reporting deliverables include:

  • Weekly Expediting Status Report
  • Critical Path Analysis
  • Delay Risk Identification
  • Recovery Action Tracking
  • Manufacturing Progress Summary
  • Documentation Tracking Log

Each report highlights progress against the baseline schedule, identifies open risks, and tracks corrective actions. Where required, reports also highlight decisions needed from the client to maintain project momentum.

No ambiguity. No generic updates.

Industries Supported

HIT Global provides expediting services across a range of industrial sectors where schedule reliability and equipment delivery are critical. Our teams support projects in:

  • Oil & Gas
  • LNG
  • Petrochemicals
  • Power Generation
  • Renewable Energy
  • Industrial Manufacturing

Expediting strategies are adapted to the technical complexity of each project and to the geographic location of the manufacturing supply chain.

When to Engage Expediting

Expediting support becomes particularly important when projects involve complex procurement or tight delivery schedules.

Typical situations where expediting provides the greatest value include:

  • Long-lead equipment procurement
  • International sourcing
  • Tight EPC schedules
  • High-value rotating equipment
  • Critical pressure equipment
  • Projects with liquidated damages exposure

The earlier expediting begins, the lower the schedule risk.

Delays are predictable. Prevention is structured.

HIT Global keeps your projects moving through disciplined expediting and proactive schedule control.
